Hello, my name is Yilan Wang, I am a freelance illustrator. I mainly do illustration, graphic design, and hand-made creative jewellery, fashion accessories, etc. I am also a newcomer tattoo artist. Based in the UK and China. I accept work assignments such as illustrations and graphic design, etc. I also have experiences working with other artists. Highlight: As a vitiligo patient, I often participate in some organisations and activities about vitiligo, I started a lifelong project about vitiligo this topic, such as drawing and collecting portraits, create picture books, moving images, etc. I really hope that my artworks could help Others, or even improve the public's understanding of Vitiligo, I very much welcome people who are interested in this topic or people with the same vitiligo condition could contact me and share each other's stories and ideas together.

Used to work and study hand-made jewellery design in Moving art studio

June - July, 2018

Moving art studio is a jewellery design studio based in Beijing China. I had the great experience to work and learn contemporary jewellery design in there and start to design and hand-made jewellery. As a freelance contemporary jewellery designer and illustrator. I turned my illustrations into wearable decorations. My works often use paper, wood, mental and other materials. I am looking forward to collab with other artist and using more recycled materials and new techniques in my future design.

Used to work and learn traditional Chinese Farmer Painting in artist Cao Xiuwen's studio

Evolving out of China's age-old traditional folk painting, the genre of "farmer painting" refers to the works done by amateur artists who are farmers, herdsmen, or fishermen by profession since the establishment of the People's Republic in 1949. I had the great experience to work and learning this painting skill with one of the famous farmer painting artists Cao Xiuwen in Shanghai, and I tried to mix the traditional painting style into my illustrations to add a more interesting element into my art and design.
